I came out to my family. They told me I'm going to hell. So I'm leaving this hell. "We love you, but we can't support your lifestyle." That's not love. That's conditional acceptance. Being gay isn't a lifestyle. It's who I am. It's not negotiable. It's not a phase. You want me to choose between my identity and my family. So I choose me. Maybe one day you'll realize what you lost. But I'm not holding my breath.
