My brother came out as gay. My family rejected him. I stayed with him. Now they reject me too. They said I'm "enabling sin." That I should have encouraged him to pray harder. To try conversion therapy. I chose my brother over their bigotry. Chose love over hate. Chose humanity over religion. And I'd make that choice again. Every time. Without hesitation. He's my brother. That matters. My parents lost two children because they couldn't accept one. That's on them, not us.
