When our dreams don't align
Realizing we want completely different futures, that loving each other isn't enough to bridge the gap
You want the city, I want the countryside. You want adventure, I want stability. You want no kids, I want a family. We want different lives, and there's no compromise that doesn't require one of us to sacrifice our dreams. [ What I'm Grateful For ] Thank you for being honest about what you want. Thank you for not pretending we can make it work when we both know we can't. Thank you for loving me enough to let me go find someone whose future aligns with mine. [ The Goodbye & The Wish ] I hope you build the life you've always imagined. I hope you find someone who wants exactly what you want, who doesn't need you to compromise or change. And I hope you know that letting you go is the hardest thing I've ever done, because I love you—just not enough to give up my dreams.
