I'm leaving the version of me that needed everyone's approval. That people-pleaser is exhausting. Every decision was a referendum. Every choice required consensus. Every move needed validation. I lost myself trying to keep everyone happy. Forgot my own opinions. My own wants. My own voice. But you can't please everyone. And trying to makes you miserable. I learned that the hard way. Now I'm making decisions based on what I want. Not what others think I should want.
