You'll never read this. You don't even know how I feel. And that's probably for the best. I've watched you fall in love with other people. Watched you light up when you talk about them. Watched you give them the version of yourself I've been dreaming about for years. And I smiled and supported you because that's what friends do. Even when it was killing me inside. I know you don't owe me anything. Love doesn't work like that. But god it hurts to be this close to you and know I'll never be close enough. So I'm letting you go. Not because I want to.
