You voted for policies that hurt me. Then asked why I was upset. Like politics is abstract. "We can disagree politically and still be friends." That's easy to say when laws don't affect you. But they affect me. My rights. My safety. My ability to exist freely in the world. Your vote wasn't abstract. It was a statement about my worth. About my humanity. And I heard that statement loud and clear.
